The Greek summer… revealed differently by a French travel blogger who vacationed in Crete, staying impressed by a meaningful, human, and traveler-focused holiday experience in our country.
Claire enthusiastically describes her all-inclusive vacation on the island, which did not resemble typical all-inclusive holidays at all, as it was implemented through the luxury hotel brand Kappa Club, owned by the French tour operator Promosejours, whose exclusive representative in Greece is the Danaos group.
Kappa Club, from the French tour operator Promosejours, is a brand of luxury hotels that offer more than the traditional all-inclusive option, introducing a new way of traveling focused on connecting with locals and culture.

High-level hospitality at Atlantica Mikri Poli
The blogger was hosted at the luxurious Atlantica Mikri Poli in Makry Gialos, a seaside resort that combines the tranquility of nature with affordable luxury. Claire describes a place with ideal facilities, excellent cuisine, discreet service, and an environment friendly both for families and adults seeking peace and relaxation.
The hotel overlooks the sandy beach and includes numerous pools (children’s, family, and adults-only), a heated pool, and a spa area with hammam and sauna, activities for children, and a team discreetly available for any guest needs. According to the blogger, the rooms have modern equipment including TV, refrigerator, and daily beverage offerings. Regarding food, there is a wide variety, from fish and meat to local and international buffets, as well as Greek restaurants.
Claire makes a special mention of the quality of local products and Cretan recipes, available throughout the day.

Kappa Club and the concept of “Kappa Moments”
The French blogger emphasizes in her article that this experience did not resemble typical all-inclusive holidays at all. Kappa Club offers more than just holidays: a meaningful cultural experience and freedom of choice. Guests participate in “Kappa Moments,” small authentic activities such as walks through gorges, cooking traditional Cretan dishes among olive groves, or relaxing aperitifs by the sea.
“Here, you are not restricted to a traditional club stay: the activities offered are never imposed. The Kappa team is present on-site, but always discreet, smiling, attentive, and never pushy,” writes Claire.

Effective management during the wildfire days
One of the most intense moments of her experience in Crete was the handling of the emergency situation caused by the large wildfires at the destination. As she describes, during her stay in Crete, transportation was interrupted due to the fires, but Kappa Club quickly mobilized by providing taxis that followed detour routes to ensure safe travel.
Claire was impressed by the humane handling of the situation, and the empathetic and professional response to guests’ anxiety both by the hotel and the local DMC (Danaos) and tour operator staff. “The seriousness of Kappa Club’s organization is evident from the beginning to the end of the trip, from booking to on-site support. Kappa Club representatives are available at the hotel to answer every question with genuine interest,” the French blogger writes.

Kappa Club presence in Crete and Greece
Kappa Club has a presence in Crete with three five-star hotels: Kappa Club Mikri Poli Crete by Atlantica in Makry Gialos (pictured), Kappa Club Iberostar Creta Marine in Panormos, and Kappa Club Knossos Royal near Hersonissos. More broadly in Greece, Kappa Club hotels include Lindos Imperial Resort & Spa in Rhodes and Negroponte in Eretria.
The first Kappa Club hotel opened its doors in Greece on June 7, 1984, aiming to radically change the concept of all-inclusive holidays. In February 2014, Kappa Club experienced its first expansion with the opening of five more hotels, and today approximately 20 operate worldwide.
