The separation of Greece’s power grid operator ADMIE from power utility PPC has entered its final phase as the deadline for the company’s creditors, suppliers and bondholders to express their objections to the plan has passed, the energy ministry said in a statement on Friday.
The ministry said interested parties had 60 days after the meeting of PPC’s shareholders in January to react to the split.
“It opens the way for a significant liquidity injection to PPC in May, totaling about 700 million euros ” a development that constitutes the best answer to the doomsday scenarios systematically promoted by the opposition,? the ministry said.
