Lamda Development, a Greek developer who heads a consortium that won a 99-year lease to develop the old airport in Hellenikon, announced on Wednesday it will wait until the details of the decision reached by the Central Archaeological Council (KAS) on the property on Tuesday have been published before it comments on it.
“Before making a public statement with regards to the resolutions of the Central Archaeological Council (ΚΑΣ), LAMDA Development S.A. is waiting the official notification in respect of their exact content,” the company noted.
“Having reviewed subject resolutions and the accompanied diagrams, the company shall be able to assess the implications to the Master Plan and the Business Plan, always adhering to the signed and ratified by the Greek Parliament contractual documents,” it continued.
Lamda saidstressed the importance of any archaeological findings have already been included in the company’s undertakings and are also provisioned both by the relevant legislation and the MoU signed with the ministry of culture, irrespective of the decisions of the public administration.
