The recent decision of the Central Archaeological Council (KAS) on the investment in Hellinikon will allow the continuation and implementation of the project, the ministry of Culture said in a press release on Friday.
“KAS’ decision incorporates the principles of the Memorandum of Understanding which systemizes, facilitates and accelerates the carrying out of archaeological research and work and protects monuments and archaeological findings… KAS also approved the plan and strategic report on the environmental effects of the project,” the ministry noted.
“All the above contribute to the continuation and implementation of the investment which is the will of the government and at the same time ensures the protection and promotion of elements of our cultural heritage,” it concluded.
