EBRD to finance municipal projects across Greece with €740 million

On Tuesday, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will meet with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Sir Suma Chakrabarti. Mr. Tsipras announced, on Monday, that 740 million euros will be channeled during 2018 to the Local Self-Government, with resources from the EBRD and the Public Investment Program.

“Through the Special Programs for the Support of Local Self-Government Organizations, ‘FiloDimos I’ and ‘FiloDimos II’, the government seeks to actively support the developmental dimension of the Local Self-Government, directly improving the citizens’ quality of life”, tweeted the Greek Premier, continuing, “740 million euros in total, from the EBRD and the Public Investment Program, will be used in 2018 to finance projects, procurements and services of the municipalities”.
