Environment minister: Greece preparing for offshore wind farms by June 2021

The institutional framework for offshore wind farms and energy storage will be ready by June 2021, Environment & Energy Minister Kostas Skrekas said on Tuesday, at an online conference on “Blue Economy Forum: The Way to Green Recovery”, ANA reports.

Offshore wind farms may also be combined with the production of “green” hydrogen, he noted, underlying that Greece will be ready to welcome investments for both the offshore wind farms and floating solar panels (photovoltaics) within the coming months.
