A 40-year concession contract to develop the Marina of Pylos worth at least 1.5 million euros was signed on Tuesday by the state and the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) on one hand, and Pylos Marina SA on the other, ANA reports.
Pylos Marina, the preferred investor, is a special-purpose company set up by D Marinas Hellas SA and TEMES SA, which hold a 70% and 30% share in it respectively. HRADF is a member company of Growthfund/The National Fund of Greece.
The signatories were Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni (on behalf of the Greek state), HRADF CEO Dimitris Politis, D-Marin Regional Director of Greece Ioannis Koutsodontis (on behalf of Pylos Marina SA, and D Marinas Hellas SA), and TEMES SA CEO Evgenios Dendrinos.
The development plan foresees an upgrade of existing infrastructure to provide a marina with high-grade yachting services. Once completed, the marina in the southwest of Greece will provide 130 berths for yachts ranging from 8 m to 30 m in length, areas for recreation and other commercial services, and parking and ship repair areas.
