How VW is extending the tourist season in Greece – which hotel did it open for its sake

Volkswagen (VW) is giving a vote of confidence in Greece and the domestic tourism industry, choosing our country for the third time for the global presentation of a new model.

Speaking to Tornos News, Elias Tsounis, head of public relations for the group, emphasized that, with the assistance of Kosmocar from Monday, February 10, and for a period of 2 months, 9,500 commercial partners of the brand and approximately 600 journalists will be in Greece and specifically in Athens for the needs of the global presentation. In fact, Lavrio and Lagonisi are the places where the presentations of the 7th generation of the iconic VW Transporter, which this year celebrates 75 years since its first generation, will take place.

Grand Resort Lagonissi opened earlier

In fact, due to the increased need for hospitality, as Mr. Tsounis emphasizes, it opened during this period, while the Grand Resort Lagonissi was closed, with all that this implies for the employees, who while they were in the unemployment fund will find themselves back in their work uniforms, indicative of the dynamics of these great events.

It is recalled that VW, always with the Kosmocar vehicle, in May 2006 had chosen Sounio and Lagonissi to present the Eos model internationally, and in 2014 had chosen Messinia, in the Peloponnese, to unveil the new Passat at Costa Navarino.

What can be concluded from the above? Greece should dynamically enter the calendar of international car shows since they can add added value to the Greek tourist product by extending the season to its extremes.
Which country would not want 10,000 visitors, ambassadors of the country, to host them?
