The Environment and Spatial Planning Committee of the Region of Crete, at its meeting yesterday, gave a positive, conditional opinion on the Environmental Impact Studies (EIS) for the new airport in Kastelli and for hotel projects.
In particular, the Committee, which met under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Regional Governor for Environment Nikos Xylouris, gave a positive opinion, subject to conditions, on the Environmental Impact Studies (EIS) of the projects:
Supplementary Issue of the EIS for the amendment of the Decision to Approve Environmental Terms of the New Heraklion International Airport in Kastelli, Crete and its road connections, due to the update of the final design, with the project operator being the company “Heraklion International Airport of Crete S.A.
224-bed hotel in the area of ??Ano Sarantari or Pefana, in the Municipality of Hersonissos, P.E. of Heraklion, of the company “KORI S.A.”
Amendment of the with no. 45041/1476/29.09.2014 Decision on the Approval of Environmental Conditions concerning a classic type hotel, five-star category (5*), under the name «PILOT BEACH RESORT», at the location “Kapsylida” & “Charitou Lakkos”, Georgioupolis Municipal Area, Apokoronas Municipality, Chania Prefecture, Crete Region, owned by «ASTERAS S.A.»
Expansion and legalization of existing hotel accommodations into a 5-star main type hotel with a final total capacity of 160 beds, at the location “Avrakone”, Tersanas area, Akrotiri Municipal Area, Chania Prefecture, Chania Prefecture, with the project operator being the company «VEMA S.A.»
