Important issues of business tourism interest are expected to be discussed during the meeting of the Environment Committee of the South Aegean Region, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 7.
Among the issues to be discussed during the meeting are the Environmental Impact Study concerning the modernization and operation of an existing 18-hole golf course on Afantou beach in Rhodes, as well as the strategic Environmental Impact Study concerning the Special Spatial Development Plan for Strategic Investment (ESCHASE) on a 566-acre property in Ios. Also, the Environmental Impact Study will be discussed regarding the redevelopment projects of the coastal front of the Mitsis Summer Palace Beach Hotel, at the location of Tholari Peristerionas located in Kos.

Environmental Impact Study regarding the redevelopment projects of the coastal front of the Mitsis Summer Palace Beach Hotel, at the location of Tholari Peristerionas in Kos.
Strategic Environmental Impact Study (SEIS) concerning the Special Spatial Development Plan for Strategic Investment (ESCHASE) on a 566 ha property, at the location of Koumpara – Diakofto – Faros, on Ios, of the entity 105 ANONYME TOURISTIKI KE TECHNIKI EKMETALLEVSIS EKINEITETON.
Among the non-tourism issues expected to be discussed during the meeting of the Environment Committee of the South Aegean Region is the Environmental Impact Study concerning the exploitation of an existing quarry of aggregates, within private lands at the location of Asties or Kylimeni Kremasti Petra, Municipal Community of Aperi, Municipality of Karpathos, with the company TELAKA SA as the entity of the activity.
