Fattal Group: New NYX Hotel in Thessaloniki – €200 Million in Investments

A bold new €25 million investment is strengthening Thessaloniki’s position on the map of modern city hospitality. The hotel giant Fattal House of Hotels, through Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean, introduces the NYX Hotel Thessaloniki, marking the Group’s entry into Northern Greece and expanding a creative hospitality concept that has already seen success in Athens.

Following the impressive 2023 launch of NYX Esperia Palace on Stadiou Street in Athens, Leonardo Hotels will open NYX Thessaloniki on September 1, creating a multi-use hospitality venue that merges creativity with functionality.

The hotel will feature 130 rooms, a bar-restaurant, lounge areas, a gym, and specially designed event spaces for business and artistic purposes. It targets travelers looking for more than just a place to stay—offering an authentic experience with distinct design and bold character.

Halkidiki Investment and €200M Footprint in Greece
During a recent press conference, Roni Aloni, CEO of Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean, revealed that the group is in the final stages of signing a deal for a new hotel in Halkidiki. This investment will raise Leonardo Hotels’ total capital footprint in Greece from €120 million to €200 million.

Mr. Aloni also shared that the group is exploring additional investments in other high-potential destinations, focusing particularly on Crete, Kos, and Corfu.

“We aim to continually upgrade hospitality for the new generation of travelers, focusing on a sense of belonging, comfort, and authenticity. In every location we invest in, we respect its identity and adapt our offerings to highlight its uniqueness,” he stated.

Athens Success Leads the Way
The NYX Esperia Palace Athens serves as a model for the group’s approach. The historic building on Stadiou Street now hosts contemporary art exhibitions, street art interventions by Gera1, works by Lauren Tsai, and collaborations with leading galleries such as Sianti Gallery.

The hotel achieves 90% occupancy during peak season, with annual growth of 8% and more than 100,000 guests per year.

Global Network with Local Focus
The Fattal Group operates in 21 countries with over 300 hotels worldwide, offering five brands—ranging from Leonardo Royal and Boutique to the youthful and lifestyle-focused NYX Hotels.

In Greece and Cyprus, the group plans to expand to 15 hotels by 2026, with 11 already in operation (4 in Greece and 7 in Cyprus).

The launch of NYX Hotel Thessaloniki supports Fattal’s strategic expansion in the Eastern Mediterranean and positions Thessaloniki on the map of global urban hospitality with a bold and contemporary identity.
