By decision of the Ministry of Development, the disbursement of the remaining amount of the state aid to the company “DPN Tourism SA”, for the construction of a new five-star hotel unit in the Municipality of Patras, was approved.
The investment concerns a hotel with a capacity of 116 rooms and 200 beds, with the total cost amounting to 6.77 million euros. Of these, 2.6 million euros are covered through the Development Law. An advance payment of 651 thousand euros has already been paid, while the new decision approves the disbursement of the remaining amount, amounting to 1.04 million euros, which corresponds to 65% of the total grant.
The investment is part of the Development Law 4399/2016, which supports tourism infrastructure projects with the aim of stimulating regional development and creating new jobs.
The completion of the project is estimated to strengthen the tourism potential of Patras and contribute to the diversification of the tourism offer in Western Greece, strengthening both the local economy and employment.
