Rhodes: New hotel investment of 5.3 million euros with 25% state aid for “Acadia S.A.”

The tourism potential of Rhodes is further strengthened with the implementation of a new investment in the hotel sector, following the decision of the Ministry of Development to approve the payment of 25% of the total subsidy to the company “Acadia Tourist Hotel Enterprises S.A.”. The relevant decision is dated October 14, 2025 and concerns a project that has been subject to the “General Entrepreneurship” regime of Development Law 4399/2016.

The investment plan concerns the establishment of a new four-star hotel unit, with a capacity of 142 rooms and 308 beds, at 6 Iroon Polytechneiou Street, at I. Kazouli location in the Municipal Unit of Rhodes, with a total eligible cost of 5.3 million euros. The total amount of the aid amounts to 1,113,000 euros, corresponding to 21% of the investment, of which 278,250 euros were approved for immediate disbursement as an advance payment.

The financing comes from the Public Investment Program (PIP 2025), through the project “General Entrepreneurship Law 4399/2016”, and the payment will be made in collaboration with the National Bank of Greece, which has signed a receivable assignment agreement from 2022.

At this point, it should be emphasized that this specific investment is part of a broader strategy for the upgrade of the tourism infrastructure of the South Aegean, through the utilization of the incentives of the development law, which aim to strengthen entrepreneurship and the competitiveness of Greek destinations.

In any case, Rhodes records another significant tourism investment, confirming its role as an important island destination with investment interest that remains consistently high, despite the challenges of the sector.
