trivago: 6 Greek destinations among the best winter skiing resorts in the world

Six Greek destinations are among the 50 most popular winter ski resorts in the world, according to trivago research.

Metsovo ranks 6th with a score of 89.23 while Kastoria is the second ranking Greek city, occupying the 29th position in the overall list with a score of 85.75. Slightly lower, on the 31st and 32nd places are Ioannina and Edessa. Karpenisi occupies the 40th position with 84.90 and Portaria the 43rd with 84,83.

Tin majority of the top-50 slots have been occupied by Austrian and Swiss destinations. Tux-Hintertux in Austria ranked first with a popularity rate of 91.16, followed by Samnaun Dorf in Switzerland with 90.56. Beaver Creek in the US ranked 3rd with a rating of 90.13. The fourth and fifth places were taken by St. Urlich in Italy and Wagrain in Austria, respectively. The classification contains destinations that include a ski resort or are very close to one.
