Big foreign studios and film-makers have expressed interest in Greece as a filming location, said Media and Communications Secretary-General Lefteris Kretsos, while speaking to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency’s radio on Thursday about the start of shooting for a BBC mini-series at the archaeological site of Sounion near Athens.
Kretsos admitted that the specific sector is of huge economic interest with “guaranteed benefits and very high profitability” and confirmed that major producers and studios from abroad have expressed interest in making investments in Greece. “The news is good and I believe we will have good news in the future also; there is not only the US but also China, India and Brazil,” he said.
