Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas won his first singles title of the year with a 7-5 7-6 (5) victory over Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin at the Marseille Open on Sunday, according to greekreporter.com.
The 20-year-old Greek tennis player beat the 31-year-old Kukushkin in a little under two hours, with 14 aces and winning 86% of his first-serve points.
The victory in the ATP 250 final brought Tsitsipas the second major title in his career after he won the Stockholm Open in October last year.
With this win, the Greek tennis wonder now is at No. 11 in the world rankings which will be announced on Monday by ATP and he is close to the Top 10.
At 20 years old, Tsitsipas is the youngest tennis player in the top 25 of the ATP rankings.
