President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach visited the new Athens Olympic Museum on Thursday, according to ANA.
On his first two-day visit to Athens since his presidential re-election through 2025, Bach arrived with President of Hellenic Olympic Committee Spiros Kapralos, and both were welcomed by construction company Lamda Development CEO Odisseas Athanasiou and Athens Olympic Museum Director Maria Papaioannou, among others.
Bach was given a tour of the museum’s Olympic heritage exhibits which highlights Athens as a hosting city of Olympic-related events. The museum will open officially after pandemic restrictions are lifted.
