Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis chaired the first interministerial meeting focused on implementing the “Marietta Giannakou” program for school renovation on Monday, ANA reports.

During the meeting, the needs of school units were discussed and it was agreed to create a detailed database. The aim is to document the necessary information in collaboration with local authorities by October, to initiate the projects. The work is scheduled to begin in early 2025.

It was agreed to prioritize upgrades to bathrooms and sports facilities, as well as to address significant repairs to other facilities.
