As part of the redevelopment of the coastal front of Glyfada, a new 3.5-kilometre-long cycle path is being added, while another 2.5-kilometre route will soon be completed, ANA reports.
The Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou stressed: “The horizontal route, approximately 3.5 kilometres long along the coastline of Glyfada, has been completed. Now we are continuing with another 2.5 kilometres on the vertical routes. Literally at the water’s edge. These include pedestrian and cycle paths, along with new trees and plants. Soon, you will also see open sports fields for everyone and play areas for children. Already, you can enjoy the new and modern pedestrian walkway on our seafront, an international-standard cycle path, and other interventions that have upgraded the entire coastline.”
