Seven shipwrecks removed from Pylos marina

Greece’s Ministry of Tourism has awarded the company “VASILIOS SEFERLIS”, following a call for tenders, the provision of services for the removal of 7 shipwrecks from the Pylos marina.

Specifically, the award concerns the removal and destruction of 7 shipwrecks from the land area of ??the Pylos marina, in order to ensure its proper operation.

The shipwrecks in question are the following: 1. MARBANK N.P. 5504, 2. ALEVIN, 3. IDEFIX, 4. INCA, 5. MIDNIGHT EXPRESS, 6. Inflatable, 7. Catamaran.

The services that the contractor will offer are the following:

– Transportation of a technician for initial inspection and determination of the technical specifications of the project

-Transportation of boats and their equipment by heavy-duty vehicles via land route from the Pylos marina to the recycling center

– Issuance of necessary permits for the movement of vehicles

– Deposit of the boats at the recycling center

– Disassembly of the parts and equipment of the boats

– Destruction (breaking) of boats

– Removal of non-recyclable materials

– Issuance of destruction certificates

The total cost for the provision of the services reaches 23,312 euros including VAT. The payment of the contractor company will be made after receipt of the services provided, with a certificate issued by a competent monitoring and good execution committee that will be established for this purpose, by issuing a money order in the name of the beneficiary and in accordance with the provisions of the agreement to be concluded and with the presentation of the legal documents and supporting documents provided for, as well as any other supporting documents that may be requested by the competent services that carry out the control and payment.

In this context, the contractor company is invited to come to sign the relevant contract. A contract will then follow between the Ministry and the company, with an analysis of the terms and conditions for the provision of the services.
