The Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni, visited the 3-5 Pigadia ski resort in Naoussa, Imathia, in the context of implementing the strategic goal of the Ministry of Tourism to support the country’s mountain tourism.
During her visit, the Minister toured the entire area and facilities of the ski resort, where she was informed in detail about the infrastructure modernization projects that are starting immediately, with resources from the Recovery and Resilience Fund, as the relevant advances have already been channeled to the management body.
She also discussed the framework for implementing the new tourism legislation, which for the first time will allow the operation of ski resort facilities throughout the year, enabling visitors to develop recreational activities related to the mountain element, in addition to skiing.
As the Minister of Tourism emphasized, “our planning also includes the enhanced promotion of the country’s mountainous regions. All of these initiatives are part of our strategy to expand the country’s tourism throughout the entire territory and 12 months of the year.”
