The “Psathathlon 2025” is in the final stretch at the magnificent beach of Psatha

In one of the most impressive seaside locations in Western Attica, the beach of Psatha – Alepochori Villion, the organization of the “Psathathlon 2025 – Psathathlon Triathlon” is scheduled for May 24th. The organization of the athletic competition has been undertaken by the Municipality of Mandra-Eidyllia, as part of its initiatives to highlight the natural wealth and strengthen mass sports.

The Psathathlon is held annually, attracting a large number of participants of all ages, from students and their families to experienced athletes from all over Greece, who participate with an official competitive interest. The aim of the event is not only to implement a nationally recognized triathlon race, but also to actively involve volunteers, highlight the natural beauty of the area, and promote the municipality as a tourist and cultural destination.

The program includes three events, swimming, cycling, and running, with their demanding combination constituting a challenge for both the body and the spirit of the participants. This year’s event provides for electronic timing with three control mats, while athletes will be provided with swimming caps for safety reasons, as well as sports T-shirts for the duration of the race and the finish.

Care has also been taken to cover the nutritional needs of the participants, as energy drinks, cereal bars, fruit, and other snacks will be available at specially designed points, with the aim of preventing fatigue during the race.

At the same time, full medical coverage will be ensured, with an ambulance, lifeguards, and volunteer supervisors who will oversee the smooth running of the event. After the race, medals will be awarded to both the winners and participants in recognition of their efforts.

In the event of a postponement due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the event will be postponed for a reasonable period of time, without being canceled.

The Municipality of Mandra – Eidyllia places particular emphasis on promoting sports as a social good, planning actions that bring citizens closer to nature and the values ??of participation, cooperation, and fair competition. Through events such as the Psathathlon, it also seeks to highlight the tourist value of the area, in which beaches, forests, and mountain routes coexist harmoniously, accessible to all.
