At the beginning of summer, when time flows differently and nature remains unscathed, Gavdos is preparing to welcome a special sports festival for the fourth consecutive year.
The Municipality of Gavdos, within the framework of the 4th Sports Festival, is pleased to announce the 4th Road Races, which will take place on Sunday, June 8, 2025, on the island of Calypso — the southernmost tip of Europe.
The organization aspires to transform Gavdos into an open meeting place for residents and visitors who love movement, nature, and collective experience. This is an initiative that unites mass sports with the values ??of noble competition, a healthy lifestyle, and active participation.
At the same time, the races provide a unique opportunity to highlight the island’s unique cultural and environmental identity, as the routes cross the rare landscape of Gavdos, the paths in nature, the wild beauty, the sea, and the sky in perfect balance, as those who have visited the island confess.
