Nao: The most modern longevity destination in Greece at Minos Palace Resort

Bluegr Hotels & Resorts presents Nao, the most modern longevity destination (longevity hub) in Greece, located in the heart of the five-star Minos Palace Resort in Agios Nikolaos, Crete.

Inspired by the ancient Greek verb ναω (“to flow”), Nao symbolizes harmony and continuous transformation. Its uniqueness lies in its completely personalized approach developed under the supervision of an internationally recognized scientific council that includes geneticists and academics. With the 12 Basic Characteristics of Aging as a starting point, it combines data and advanced diagnostic tools with ancient Greek wisdom and the latest scientific developments.

According to Ms. Tina Mamidaki, CEO of Bluegr Hotels & Resorts and driving force behind the project, “Nao was born naturally, in response to the global need for a happier and healthier world, and is an embodiment of our deep commitment to care, sustainability, innovation and excellence, which dates back more than 50 years.”

Nao’s programs are based on 4 pillars: Nutrition, Exercise, Sleep, and Self-Awareness. Options range from one-day wellness experiences to intensive two-week programs. The journey begins before arrival with diagnostic tests and counseling sessions. During the stay, additional tests and counseling sessions take place so that, through innovative tools, the guest can gain a comprehensive picture of their health status. Based on the latest scientific developments in the field of longevity, these tests aim to identify biomarkers using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools.

This combination of technology and a holistic approach allows Nao’s team of doctors and therapists to design personalized nutrition, exercise, sleep, and treatment programs that enhance physical, mental, and emotional health, leading the guest to the best version of themselves.

On a private peninsula with a 360-degree view of the Aegean Sea, the adults-only Minos Palace Resort is an ideal environment for Nao. The new facilities extend over 1,100 sq m and two levels that include 8 treatment rooms and consultation areas with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools. The range of treatments includes, among others, specialized programs such as photobiostimulation (PBM therapy), cryotherapy, and infrared sauna, as well as meditation, exercise (Brain Gym), and relaxation (Vibroacoustics therapy) areas.

Minos Palace Resort has 122 rooms, bungalows, and 28 suites with private or shared swimming pools. Two restaurants offer menus based on sustainable, local, and seasonal ingredients, and ingredients with proven health benefits. At the two bars, guests can enjoy carefully selected cocktails from Baba Au Rum, one of the 50 Best Bars in the World. Activities include water sports, tennis, hiking, and wellness classes, while idyllic gardens, a private beach, and an infinity pool enhance the connection with the natural landscape and the vast blue horizon.

With an investment of over 11 million euros, including a complete renovation of the reception and dining areas in 2024 and the addition of Nao in 2025, Minos Palace Resort is entering a new era – evolving into a premier luxury wellness destination, where science, nature, and personalized care coexist in harmony.
