On November 22 and 23, the “Zagliveri Ascent”, a rally-type motor racing event organized by the Thessaloniki Automobile Club, is scheduled to take place in the Zagliveri area, in the Kalindoia Municipal Unit of Lagkada. The race, which counts towards the Northern Greece Cup and is under the approval of the Hellenic Motorsports Federation, will be held on the Zagliveri – Petrokerasa special route, taking advantage of the mountainous terrain and natural landscape of the area.
According to the organizers, the event has established itself as an important event for motorsports enthusiasts and contributes to the sports promotion of the region. At the same time, the participation of numerous athletes from all over the country and the attendance of spectators is expected to stimulate the local market, strengthening hospitality and catering businesses, as well as other professional sectors.
