The Ministry of Tourism has approved funding for 8 investment projects aimed at developing diving tourism in the country.
In detail:
An Application for Funding was approved for the Investment Plan titled creation, development, management and operation of the diving park at Lemonopetres in the municipality of Fournoi Korseon, with the municipality of Fournoi as beneficiary. The project will be implemented in the designated area of the Lemonopetres diving park and the approved funding amounts to 297,600 euros.
An application was also approved for the creation of a free artificial underwater attraction in the municipality of Xiromero, with the municipality of Xiromero as beneficiary. The project will be implemented on the island of MetaxotoMarathias Bay, in the southwestern part of Astakos Bay, and the approved funding amounts to 297,600 euros.
At the same time, an Application for Funding was approved for the Investment Plan titled Upgrade of the Skopelos Diving Centre, with the municipality of Skopelos as beneficiary. The project will be implemented in Skopelos and Alonissos and the approved funding amounts to 140,509.53 euros.
An Application for Funding was also approved for the Investment Plan titled Modernisation of the Diving Training Services Centre of the beneficiary Blue Diving Adventures Single-Member Limited Liability Company, with the company as beneficiary. The project will be implemented in Chania and the approved funding amounts to 99,247.04 euros.
Another application was approved for the Investment Plan titled Creation of a Free Artificial Underwater Attraction in Lefkada, with the Lefkada Chamber of Commerce as beneficiary. The project will be implemented on the island of Madouri, on the eastern coast of Lefkada, east of Nidri, and the approved funding amounts to 297,600 euros.
An Application for Funding was also approved for the Investment Plan titled creation of a free artificial underwater attraction in the municipality of Agios Efstratios, with the municipality as beneficiary. The project will be implemented on the island of Agioi Apostoloi or 12 Apostoloi, on the eastern side of the island, north of Agios Efstratios, and the approved funding amounts to 297,600 euros.
In addition, an Application for Funding was approved for the Investment Plan titled Sotiropoulos Gerasimos Diving Tourism, with Gerasimos Sotiropoulos as beneficiary. The project will be implemented in Agia Efthymia, Kefalonia, and the approved funding amounts to 65,557.72 euros.
Finally, an Application for Funding was approved for the Investment Plan titled development of diving tourism activities, with Aristeidis Chalkis as beneficiary. The project will be implemented in Preveza and the approved funding amounts to 21,435.57 euros.
