TUI | Mallorca, Turkey and Greek islands the top destinations for the summer of 2025

The sunny destinations around the Mediterranean remain the undisputed leaders in the German market in 2025, especially Mallorca, Turkey and the Greek islands. This was emphasized by Benjamin Jacobi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TUI Germany, speaking today at the International Tourism Exchange in the context of the ITB exhibition in Berlin.

Since the beginning of the year, summer bookings at TUI have increased significantly, said Benjamin Jacobi, underlining that “holidays and special experiences are more important to people than ever before.”

According to a survey conducted by the market research institute Appino among 2,000 respondents on behalf of TUI, European travel destinations remain the most popular, with a share of 43%. 18% of respondents are planning a holiday in Germany, while 25% are going further afield. Among exotic destinations, Asia is the most important with 10%.

Hotel and flight offers are expanding

This summer, as Benjamin Jacobi said, TUI is offering its largest and most diverse range with more private-brand hotels, more affordable three-star hotels and an expanded range of flights.

In Turkey alone, there are more than 1,600 weekly connections with Antalya, Dalaman, Bodrum, and Izmir.

Mallorca is the first destination in TUI Fly with over 470,000 seats and 92 weekly flights. In Greece, according to him, TUI has launched the most extensive offer in 24 areas on the mainland and the islands. Additional hotel offers have been added to the program, especially on the islands of Rhodes, Corfu, and Zakynthos.

TUI expects more than a million holidaymakers from Germany to visit both Turkey and Greece in the summer of 2025.

Bulgaria, a rising star

Jacobi describes the Bulgarian Black Sea coast as a rising destination, which is currently attracting more and more families with modern hotels at low prices. TUI Fly’s direct flights from Hanover to Burgas and Varna, which were launched for the first time last summer, have further boosted demand.

Egypt is also continuing its upward trend, especially in Hurghada and Marsa Alam, with new hotels in TUI’s portfolio.

Top long-haul destinations

TUI’s top three long-haul destinations this summer are the USA, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. According to Benjamin Jacobi, a contract for “attractive new flight packages” to the Arabian Peninsula is imminent.

Great accommodation options in Germany

In Germany, TUI has added unusual accommodation to its program, such as overnight stays in sunbed tents, houseboats, or glamping tents. The new highlight of the summer is the TUI Kids Club Wangerland on the North Sea with extensive all-inclusive services. The Robinson Fleesensee will reopen in April. Many new features await guests, such as newly designed rooms, a new-look restaurant, and a new spa area with an indoor pool.

Demand for Easter vacations is very high

Easter is the first big stop on the 2025 holiday, with demand already very high. TUI hotel brands such as TUI Blue, Robinson, Riu, Grupotel, and Atlantica are particularly popular. There are only a few rooms left to fill the Easter capacity.
