Rhodes is hosting the “China Visitors Summit” (CVS) for the first time in Greece, one of the most important international tourism events aimed at networking leading Chinese tour operators with high-value destinations. The event will take place on May 14 and 15 at the Sheraton Rhodes Resort Hotel, in co-organization with PROTOUR – Rhodes Tourism Promotion Organization.
More than 100 tour operators from China are expected to arrive on the island on May 12 and participate in an intensive program of business contacts, tours and experiential acquaintance with Rhodes. The program has been designed by the Tourism Directorate of the Municipality of Rhodes and PROTOUR, with the aim of promoting the advantages of the destination to the Chinese market.
The event will feature targeted B2B meetings with tourism operators from Rhodes, Crete, Kos, and other regions of Greece, as well as professionals from Turkey. At the same time, Chinese visitors will be guided through hotels, archaeological sites, and cultural sites of the island.
Finally, their gastronomic experience will be enriched by local restaurants in the Medieval City, with the support of the Restaurant Association, while the Rhodes Casino will host a special dinner in their honor.
Since 2008, CVS has been connecting Chinese travel buyers with tourism service providers from around the world. The event focuses on pre-arranged one-on-one meetings between 100+ suppliers and 100+ buyers, leading to more than 7,000 appointments.
