Travel agency groups of Greece, Israel and Cyprus sign closer cooperation deal

The relevant associations representing travel and tourism agencies in Greece (FedHATTA), Israel and Cyprus last week signed a joint deal in Athens foreseeing the creation of the East Mediterranean Travel and Tourist Agents Associations Synergies (ΕΜΤΤΑAS).

The agreement is part of an initiative by the three side to boost cooperation.

The agreement has been ratified by the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Tourist & Travel Agencies (FEDHATTA) and the Association of Cyprus Travel Agents (ACTA).

The agreement was ratified during a meeting at the Greek Ministry of Tourism, in the presence of the Greek Minister Elena Kountoura, FEDHATTA President Lyssandros Tsilidis and ACTA President Ntinos Kakkouras.

According to a statement issued by ACTA, EΜΤΤΑAS will promote tourist development in the Eastern Mediterranean and will establish an effective network of synergies among tourist agencies of the three countries in favour of tourism.
