Domestic tourism has recovered and given breather to areas of Greece that used to be absent from the famous destination lists over the previous years.
One of this areas is Kalavryta, in the mountainous east-central part of the regional unit of Achaea, the head of the tourist agencies of western Greece Giorgos Telonis said in statements to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).
Telonis argued that this was the result of the new road networks which have significantly reduced the distance from Athens and added that all the areas around Patras attracted visitors, giving the signal that Greece is a perfect destination all-year-round.
