FedHATTA: Dynamic presence of Greek travel agencies at the international Dubai exhibition ATM 2025

Important meetings with tourism professionals from the Middle East are being held by Greek travel agencies through the participation of the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Travel & Tourism Agencies (FedHATTA) and the Association of Greek Tourist and Travel Agencies (HATTA) in the 32nd international tourism exhibition in Dubai, Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which takes place from April 28 to May 1, 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

FedHATTA, as well as the Greek travel agencies-members of the Federation’s travel agency associations, participate in the most important tourism exhibition in the Middle East – creating professional agreements worth 2.5 billion. dollars – through the GNTO pavilion, holding B2B meetings to strengthen the tourist flow to Greece and to the benefit of outbound tourism in the Middle East.

The travel flow from the Arab world to Greece is of great interest to Greek tourism and is evolving upwards, attracting visitors who make high expenditures. These travelers show a strong interest in getaways in the Cyclades and Athens, while, for this specific market, Corfu, Halkidiki, and Thessaloniki are emerging destinations that fit the profile of these travelers, as they respond to their lifestyle, travel habits, and the way of entertainment they choose.

The president of FedHATTA, Mr. Lysandros Tsilidis, stated: “Once again, we are participating in a world-class exhibition with great interest for our country’s inbound and outbound tourism. The Arab market, by introducing a category of customers with quality characteristics to Greek tourism, is increasingly demonstrating the high attractiveness of Greek destinations. The Federation’s goal is to introduce destination options to this market and to intensify demand for them through the targeted approach of tourism professionals, further developing what has been progressively built in recent years”.

In this context, as Mr. Tsilidis underlines, “FedHATTA continues to promote Greek destinations that are already popular in the Arab market, but the goal is also to strengthen the travel interest of Arabs for the South Aegean and Crete”.
