One of the largest travel agencies in the United States, which includes the Affluent Traveler Collection, Travelsavers and NEST groups, was in Rhodes yesterday, accompanied by 170 of its leading associates.
The American tourism professionals had the opportunity to tour the island, and were then hosted at a special reception in the Medieval City of Rhodes. This is part of a familiarization trip that also includes visits to other islands, such as Syros – where they have already been – and Paros, which follows.
The collaboration with this organization began in 2024, in Florida, USA, and since then a relationship of trust and cooperation has been steadily built. As it is emphasized, such alliances strengthen the extroversion of the islands, an element that has historically been a source of strength for their tourism.
The trust that the islanders have gained, through their good work and reliability, grows year by year in a global market characterized by instability but also a multitude of choices. For island regions, penetration into new markets and strengthening trust are considered interrelated elements, with extroversion remaining a key characteristic of the “island DNA”.
