Licenses for 3 Floating Docks in Corfu and Lefkada

Three licenses for floating docks have been approved by the relevant authorities for installation in marine areas of Corfu and Lefkada.

Specifically, the General Secretariat for Ports, Port Policy, and Maritime Investments has approved the installation of a floating dock with a total area of 47.44 m² in the Kommeno Gouvia marine area, for the company Corfu Club Marina S.A.. The purpose of this dock is to accommodate boats for seasonal use, up to 9 months. Access to and from the floating dock will be facilitated by a 6.36 m² connecting bridge, with simple support and no permanent connection elements.

It is noted that the floating dock cannot be used for the installation or operation of restaurants or entertainment venues, nor can it serve as a permanent docking area for boats or for advertising purposes. Additionally, if ancient artifacts or cultural objects are found during the installation of the dock, the work must be halted immediately, and the Underwater Antiquities Service must be notified.

Meanwhile, the General Secretariat has also approved the installation of a floating dock with a total area of 144 m² within the Blikhou Lefkada port zone, for the benefit of Mr. Konstantinos Belegrinou. The access to and from this dock will be through a 6 m² connecting bridge, with simple support on the seabed.

The floating dock must be installed at a safe distance from any port works located or under construction in the specific marine area, as well as from maritime hazards, such as shipwrecks and areas with tides. Additionally, the dock must not interfere with safe navigation or be placed within navigable channels and maritime routes, nor in areas where subsea cables and pipelines are installed.

Lastly, the General Secretariat has approved the installation of a floating dock with a total area of 30 m² in the Nikiana Lefkada marine area, for the company Galini Hotels and Tourism Enterprises S.A. The purpose is to accommodate boats for seasonal use, up to 9 months. Access will be provided via a 16.80 m² connecting bridge, with simple support and no permanent connection elements.
