Greek Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura met with her Egyptian counterpart Rania Al-Mashat and the Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Cyprus Giorgos Lakotrpipis within the framework of the International ITB Tourism Fair in Berlin, ANA reports.
During the meeting, they examined the possibilities for joint initiatives to further developing the cruise and sea tourism after the signing of the Greece, Egypt and Cyprus Protocol of Cooperation in November 2017 in the context of the 5th Summit of the three countries.
The three officials discussed their cooperation on combination cruises which would visit the ports of all three countries as well as creating tourist packages which will combine cruises and touring with accommodation in different destinations.
They also discussed the prospects for tripartite cooperation to boost and further promote tourism in the Eastern Mediterranean as a whole.
