Two Heraklion museums exhibits in 3D infopoint stations

Two advanced technology infopoint stations featuring electronic city guides for sightseeing were donated by the Municipality of Heraklion to the Historic Museum of Crete and the Museum of Natural History

The Mayor of Heraklion Vasilis Lambrinos, signed the relevant contracts with Moissis Mylonas, director of the Museum of Natural History and Eleni Tzethaki Apostolaki, the secretary of the Cretan Historical Studies Society which supervises the Historical Museum of Crete. 

City community

The Mayor pointed out that the concession was made in the context of cooperation between the various institutions of the city community, in an effort to highlight even more the rich history and culture of the Heraklion.

The advanced technology infopoint stations feature applications for modern browsing, rich photographic material and texts, acoustic tours and 3D navigation through the city of mid-17th century Candia, enabling visitors to appreciate better the great historic journey of the city.

The museum representatives pledged that both stations will be used in the optimal way, not only for tourists but also for educational purposes during the winter.
