10 top music concerts not to miss during July 2016 in Greece

Music lovers will continue to enjoy all genres, both Greek and international in the summer, as a series of concerts are scheduled to talk place in Athens during July. Here is a quick rundown of what music fans should expect:

July 11: Veakio Theatre, Piraeus

Stefanos Korkolis will be performing legendary composer Mikis Theodorakis’s music. His show will include classic piano scores, as well as covers of lyrical and orchestral music by Mikis Theodorakis.

July 11: Petras Theatre

Singers Dimitra Galani, Eleni Tsaligopoulou and Giota Nega will join forces after a series of successful winter shows at at ‘Passport’ venue. They will perform popular songs from the classic period of Greek cinema including compositions by Theodorakis, Loizos, Chatzidakis, Tsitsanis, Ksarchakos, Kaldaras etc.

July 13: Katrakio Theatre

The ‘lady’ of Greek music Marinella will team up with Antonis Remos and Christos Nikolopoulos to offer those who chose to go to Katrakio a unique experience of high quality music.

July 13: Amaleio Theatre

Following their successful partnership at Votaniko venue in winter, Eleftehria Arvanitaki will join forces again with Nikos Portokaloglou to remind us of all their past hits that made us love them both. They will be performing new songs.

July 13: Gazarte terrace

Nouvelle Vague are booked to perform at the Gazarte terrace and will take us down memory lane by singing old time classic jazz, bossa novas and 60’s pop pieces.

July 13: Megaro Hall garden

Arleta and Lakis Papadopoulos joint album is titled ‘Quiet Evenings’,  although there meeting on July 13 will be far from quiet. Nostalgia, eroticism, humour and sweet feelings and memories of the past are on the night’s musical menu.

July 19: Tera Vibe Park

You should not miss the sexy American singer, who returns to the ‘Rockwave Festival’ and Terra Vibe concert. The hip-hop ‘priestess’ will put on a show equal to her fame with all her past hits.

July 20: Plateia Nerou (Water Square)

Scorpions, the old German rockers are still going strong and we will have the opportunity to watch them live in Greece once more.

July 23: Plateia Nerou (Water Square)

Muse needs no introduction. The globally successful UK band, with numerous musical accolades, will be at the Ejekt Festival performing all their hits. Get ready for some loud rocking!

July 25: Veakio Theatre

The unique and beautiful voice of Alkistis Protopsalti is expected to show us a magical night, as always.
