The concept of ‘home’ in collective and individual imagination – as a community, country, roots, childhood, refuge but also in terms of its practical construction – is to be the theme of the 6th Thessaloniki Contemporary Art Biennale to take place in September 2017.
Organised by Thessaloniki’s State Museum of Contemporary Art, the Biennale has so far been held five times in 10 years, after the first in 2007, in collaboration with artists and curators from Greece and abroad, attracting thousands of visitors. The 2017 Biennale is expecting to get funding from the EU’s next National Strategic Reference Framework.
