Casa Romana and Roman Odeon to open again in Kos on Tuesday

The Casa Romana and the Roman Odeon on the Greek island of Kos will open to visitors once again on Tuesday, the culture and sports ministry announced on Monday. The two sites had been closed as a precaution following a strong earthquake that shook the island on Friday.

Of the 43 sculptures on display, three headless torsos and one head fell over as a result of the very strong tremor and suffered minor breaks and chips, chiefly to the plaster sections added in conservation. The rest of the statuary remained in place and was undamaged.
