Greek mezzo soprano Alexandra Gravas will sing songs from Greece, Mexico, China, Lebanon, France and Germany in a free show to be held at the Roman Agora on September 6 in order to coincide with the full moon.
“Let’s not forget the unique concert given by Manos Hadjidakis in the Roman Agora, from which he released the relevant album, with his favorite songs from 1947-1985, which has remained classical in Greek discography. I think it will be a magical night under the light of the full moon in September,” she commented on the concert.
The soprano was born and raised in Germany to Greek parents. The songs of Greek contemporary composers form an essential part of Gravas? recital programs, alongside the German, French, Italian and English repertoire.
The evening is under the auspices of the Athens Ephorate of Antiquities.
