Libraries across Greece to ‘host’ heroes of children’s fiction on April 23

The National Library of Greece, on the occasion of the World Book Day on April 23, is launching the programme “Heroes, let’s meet” and proposes that members of the Greek Libraries Network offer opportunities for the public to become “acquainted” with the heroes of international children’s fiction and their countries.=, ANA reports.

Every library, public or municipal, that takes part in the activity will can select a hero or heroine from a list of 150 characters from 50 different countries. Children throughout Greece will be asked to collect facts about the fictional hero adopted by the library of their region, details about the character’s appearance, background, appearance and adventures, and present them to the public.
