New protocols for ancient sites, museums and monuments announced in Greece

The health protocols announced by the General Secretariat of Culture and the General Secretariat of Contemporary Culture for archeological sites, museums, indoor monuments, and venues for art and other art exhibitions in Greece, are included in the new Joint Ministerial Decision (JMC) with emergency measures to protect public health from risk of further spread of the coronavirus throughout the country and are valid from Monday, December 13, 2021, to Monday, December 20 at 6.00.

With regard to museums, archeological sites, and closed monuments, the JMC allows entrance only for persons who have been vaccinated or have become ill during the last quarter.

Guests are required to present upon entry:

A. Vaccination certificate

B. Disease Certificate.

Minors from four to 17 years old may, alternatively, submit a negative self-test statement.

Group tours are allowed as long as they comply with the protection measures that apply to all activities.

In addition, regarding the operation of open (outdoor) areas, group tours are allowed with the protection measures that apply to all activities.
