Guided by local creativity and the active participation of residents, “Fokika 2025” is coming to fill Amfissa and the Municipality of Delphi with culture, art and sports once again. From August 21 to October 4, the city will be transformed into a living canvas of events, where young and old will have the opportunity to participate in concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, book presentations, sports tournaments and experiential workshops.
This year’s program, curated by the Municipality of Delphi, the Delphi Network for Culture and Tourism and the Municipal Community of Amfissa, in collaboration with local associations and organizations, once again emphasizes local cultural production. A production that is not just an expression of creativity, but an element of the identity of the place, which is highlighted and supported in practice.
The events begin with the basketball tournament (21-24/08) and the concert of Melina Kana (22/08) and culminate with the great White Night in the historic center of Amfissa (04/10) and the concert of the Amfissa Choir and Philharmonic. In between, there are honorary days, theatrical productions, evenings dedicated to music, such as the tribute to Mikis Theodorakis (24/09), as well as literary and poetry meetings with local creators.
Fokika has established itself as a cultural reference point for Fokida and its people, giving a platform to artists, clubs and new initiatives, but also an opportunity for visitors to get to know the place through its culture.
