Greek-Albanian drug ring busted in greek island Kefalonia

A preliminary inquiry by Greek police on the island of Kefalonia has led to the arrest of four members of an Albanian-Greek drug ring.

The police detected the drug traffickers’ illicit activities by tracking their huge profits to drug users on the island.

The four members were detained during a sting operation by police, where two Albanians, 29 and 31, and two Greeks, 36 and 40, were caught with 9,460 Euros from the sale of drugs, while they seized quantities of cocaine and unprocessed marijuana, a vehicle and 12 cell phones.

The four suspects were taken the Kefalonia prosecutor charged with forming a criminal group, a systematic drug trafficking and other illicit activities.
