Severe weather warning issued for next three days in Greece

The Greek Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued a severe weather warning staring from late Sunday in the areas of Peloponnese, and the south regions in central and western Greece. According to the emergency forecast, the weather will deteriorate substantially with heavy rainfalls, low temperatures, strong winds and topical hail storms, with Crete, the Cycladic island cluster and the Dodecanese being affected on Monday.

The severe phenomena are expected to fade out by Tuesday. The General Secretariat of Civil Protection & Administrative Reconstruction has informed all local and state government bodies to be on heightened alert in the event of emergency incidents.
