All roads to the Troodos Mountains in Cyprus are open only to vehicles equipped with snow chains of four-wheel drive due to frost, police have said on Thursday evening.
Police have also announced that a lane of the Agridia-Potamitissa road is closed due to landslides.
Drivers have been warned to be careful on the roads, drive slowly, keep a safe distance from other vehicles, and to turn on their headlights.
Tonight the weather is expected to be cloudy with scattered showers, and snow in the mountains.
Snow and rain are expected on Friday, the meteorological service reported.
Temperatures on Friday are expected to be 12 degrees C inland, 13 on the coast, and one degree in the mountains.
