First baby of Syrian family born in Rhodes’ hospital in Greece

The first baby of a young Syrian couple living in Rhodes’ refugee center was born in the town’s hospital on Friday, making it also the first child born by refugees in 2017.

The mayor of Rhodes, Fotis Hatzidiakos visited the 24-year-old woman and her newly-born son in hospital, to wish her health, good luck and wishes for hope. He also presented her with a small present representing Greek hospitality.
