Greek firefighters struggle to bring Zakynthos blaze under control for third day

Firefighters were still struggling for a third day on Monday to contain a blaze that broke out on Saturday in the village Maries, on the Greek island of Zakynthos.

A total force of 150 firefighters with 53 vehicles, four helicopters and five aircrafts were operating in the area.

Apart from the main front, three new fires broke out in the eastern part of the Ionian island, raising concerns about the possibility of arson.
