All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo stayed behind after the game against the Nets on Friday to meet hundreds of fellow Greeks waiting patiently to get a glimpse or a handshake from their hero.
Giannis was touched by the presence of so many Greek fans. He took the mike and sang the Greek national anthem, before he climbed the steps of the arena to meet them.
Earlier the “Greek Freak” put on another impressive performance. His 41 points led the Bucks to a 116-91 victory against the Nets at Bradley Center.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has participated in the Greek National Tourism Organisation’s (GNTO) campaign to attract US tourists in Athens.
US tourists grew 40 pct to 1.0 million in 2017 compared to last year. According to estimates, tourists from the US can reach 2.0 million in a year.
