Temperatures rise again as mini heatwave hits Greece in Autumn

It may be Autumn but the sun is still shining in Greece and for those continuing to make their way across the Aegean islands chances are they will want to head to the beach today as temperatures are set to rise close to 40 degrees Celsius in some regions.

Meteorologists are predicting the mini heat wave will reach its peak on September 3rd and temperatures will remain exceptionally high for the season also tomorrow.

Athens will reach nearly 38 degrees today and 36 degrees tomorrow and other areas mainly affected by the mini heat wave are the Sporades islands, islands of northern Aegean Sea, central and east Peloponnese and western Crete.
