Greece’s health ministry on Sunday announced the hiring of 300 doctors that will be given permanent positions to staff the country’s ICUs, following an amendment passed in parliament the previous Thursday.
In addition to the 200 positions envisaged in the original call for applications, permanent jobs will also be given to the 100 runners-up, the ministry announced. All 300 will be able to report to the hospitals on Monday and start working, it added.
